Our Lean Insight Tours are unique learning opportunities that provide a deeper understanding of the founding principles and strategic purpose of lean.

This one week educational and cultural Lean tour to Japan will allow you to observe first- hand, how Lean thinking and practices have elevated Japanese companies to world-class status in operational excellence.

Whether you are new to the concept of Lean, or searching for deeper knowledge and understanding you will be inspired and energised by seeing how Lean can be successfully implemented and sustained to transform your business.


                                        Tour Itinerary 


Day 1 - Arrival & Orientation

  • Arrive in Japan & Travel to the Hotel at Nagoya | Check in Time – 3.00pm
  • 5.30pm – 9.30pm : Orientation to Japanese Culture. Japanese Traditional Tea Ceremony & Dinner


Day 2 - Workshop 1

  • 9.00am – 5.00pm : Hands-on Experience in TPS  | Full-Day Workshop conducted by senior TPS sensei from Toyota
  • 6.30pm Onwards: Japanese Dinner & Networking


Day 3 - Workshop 2

  • 9.00am – 5.00pm : Hands-on Experience in TPS  | Full-Day Workshop conducted by senior TPS sensei from Toyota
  • 6.30pm Onwards: Japanese Dinner & Networking


Day 4 - Toyota Tier 2 Supplier Visit & Toyota Museum 

  • 8.00am - 12.00pm : Factory Visit 1 - Brake, Transmission & Engine Parts Supplier to Toyota
  • 1.30pm - 5.30pm :  Visit 2 - Toyota Museum showcasing TPS principles through exhibits and interactive displays 
  • 6.30pm Onwards : Japanese Dinner & Networking


Day 5 - Toyota Tier 1 Supplier Visit

  • 8.00am - 12.00pm : Factory Visit 3 - Suspension Ball Joint Supplier to Toyota
  • 1.30pm - 5.30pm :  Travel to Tokyo for Toyota Assembly Plant Visit Preparation


Day 6 - Toyota Assembly Plant

  • 8.00am - 12.00pm : Factory tour to Toyota Assembly Plant
  • 1.30pm - 5.30pm :  Reflection & Certification Awarding Ceremony


Day 7 - Reflection & Sightseeing 

  • 9.00am Onwards: Hansei Reflection Break a process that helps identify things that have gone wrong in your organisation and how they can be improved or prevented, allowing the creation of clear plans for future efforts. (Participants to use the day for reflection and site seeing in Japan)


Day 8 - Departure
